Bridge1 Terms of Service

Use Bridge1 responsibly and legally. When you run models locally through Bridge1, your prompts, conversations, and model outputs stay on your own device — Dojoit does not operate a server that receives or stores them.
1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Dojoit, Inc. ("Dojoit," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of Bridge1, our free, downloadable local gateway software, and any related websites, documentation, and services we provide in connection with it (collectively, the "Service"). By downloading, installing, or using Bridge1, or by otherwise accessing the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not download, install, or use Bridge1.
We may update these Terms from time to time as described in Section 18 below.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract, to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and "you" refers to both you and that organization.
3. The Service
Bridge1 is downloadable desktop software (currently available for macOS, with Windows and Linux support planned) that runs locally on your own computer. It acts as a local routing gateway between AI coding-agent client applications you already use — such as Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex CLI, OpenCode, and Hermes Agent — and AI model backends that run locally on your own machine. Bridge1 is currently offered as an early-access release. It may contain bugs, may change substantially between versions, and features described in our marketing materials or documentation may not yet be available or may change without notice. We may add, modify, or remove features of the Service at any time.
4. Beta Access and Registration
Bridge1 does not require you to create an account to download or use its core functionality. Certain early-access features are activated using a randomly generated device identifier together with an invite code; this activation does not require you to provide an email address or create a personal account. If you choose to join our waitlist without an invite code, we collect the email address you provide for that purpose. You are responsible for keeping any invite code you receive confidential and for all activity associated with it. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the invite or activation system, or any beta feature, at any time.
5. How Bridge1 Handles Your Data
Bridge1 routes requests between the AI client application and the AI model process running on your own computer. When you run models locally, Dojoit does not operate a server that receives, stores, or hosts your prompts, conversations, or model outputs — that content flows directly between your local client application and the locally running model process on your own device.
Information our infrastructure does receive from a Bridge1 installation includes device and version information, standard log and connection data such as your IP address, beta activation data, any email address you provide to join our waitlist, and any feedback or bug report you choose to submit. If we offer features that run models on Dojoit-operated servers rather than on your device, those features necessarily involve transmitting your content to us to process. Such features will be clearly identified, and their handling of your content will be described in our Privacy Policy before they become available.
Dojoit does not use your prompts, conversations, code, or model outputs to train, fine-tune, or evaluate any AI model.
6. Use of the Service
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to: (a) use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation; (b) use the Service to infringe, misappropriate, or violate the intellectual property or other rights of any third party; (c) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law; (d) redistribute, resell, sublicense, rent, or lease the Service to any third party without our prior written consent; (e) remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary notices on the Service; (f) use the Service to develop a competing product or service; or (g) interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, limited right, without the right to sublicense, to download, install, and use Bridge1 for your own internal or personal purposes, subject to these Terms. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by Dojoit.
If you submit feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant Dojoit a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and incorporate that feedback into the Service or any other product or service, without any obligation or compensation to you.
Bridge1 bundles a small number of third-party open-source components under their own permissive licenses (currently Apache License 2.0 and MIT), reproduced with the attribution those licenses require. Nothing in this Section 6 limits any right you have under the license of a third-party component distributed with Bridge1 — those components are governed solely by their own licenses, which your locally running Bridge1 gateway serves in full, with source attribution, at its /third-party-licenses.txt endpoint.
7. AI Model Outputs and Limitations
Bridge1 routes requests to AI models that generate output based on algorithmic and statistical processes. AI-generated output may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or inappropriate for your intended use, whether generated by a locally running model, by a model Dojoit operates, or by a third-party model accessed through a client application you configure. Dojoit does not develop, control, or warrant the accuracy, reliability, or safety of output produced by any AI model, and you are solely responsible for evaluating and verifying any AI-generated content before relying on it. You should not use output from the Service as the sole basis for any decision where inaccurate or incomplete information could result in harm.
8. Intellectual Property
Dojoit and its licensors own all right, title, and interest in and to the Service, including Bridge1's software, user interface, designs, and all associated intellectual property rights. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in the Service other than the limited license set out in Section 6, or any right to use Dojoit's or its licensors' names, logos, or trademarks, including "Bridge1" and "bridge1.ai," except as expressly permitted by us in writing.
9. Third-Party Services and Trademarks
Bridge1 is designed to work with third-party AI coding-agent client applications and AI model backends that you separately obtain, install, and configure. Bridge1 computes internal model identifiers, including identifiers beginning with "claude-," solely as a technical compatibility convention that allows certain client applications to address third-party models through their existing configuration fields. This naming convention is a technical compatibility measure only; it does not indicate, and should not be construed as indicating, any affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement from Anthropic, OpenAI, or any other AI model or client vendor. All product names, logos, and trademarks referenced in connection with the Service are the property of their respective owners.
We do not control and are not responsible for the availability, security, content, or performance of any third-party client application, model runtime, or other third-party software you choose to use with Bridge1. Your use of any third-party software is governed solely by that provider's own terms and policies, not by these Terms.
10. Copyright
Dojoit respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the Service to do the same.
Bridge1 is local software. It does not host, store, or publish user content on our servers, so there is generally no Dojoit-hosted material to which a takedown request would apply. Model files and other third-party materials you download through Bridge1 are hosted by the third parties that provide them, and requests concerning that material should be directed to those providers.
If you believe something Dojoit itself makes available infringes your copyright, contact us at legal@dojoit.com with a description of the work, what you believe infringes it, and how to reach you, and we will review it.
11. Paid Features and Billing
Bridge1's local gateway functionality is currently offered free of charge, and no account or payment is required to use it.
We may offer paid features, subscriptions, or additional products, including cloud-based model access operated by Dojoit. If you purchase a paid feature, these Terms continue to apply, together with the specific pricing, billing period, and plan details presented to you at the point of purchase. Where a paid feature requires an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for activity under your account.
Paid features may be billed on a recurring basis and may renew automatically until cancelled. Before any purchase, we will disclose the price, the billing frequency, and how to cancel. You may cancel a recurring plan at any time as described at the point of purchase or in the app; cancellation takes effect at the end of the then-current billing period unless applicable law requires otherwise. Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor, and fees are exclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise. Except where required by law or expressly stated at purchase, fees already paid are non-refundable.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling Bridge1. We may suspend or terminate your access to any part of the Service, including revoking an invite code or beta activation, at any time, with or without notice, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 8 through 19 — will survive.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. DOJOIT EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. DOJOIT DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY AI MODEL OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
14. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL DOJOIT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY, EVEN IF DOJOIT HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT WILL DOJOIT'S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID DOJOIT IN THE LAST SIX (6) MONTHS, OR, IF GREATER, ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Dojoit and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
16. Dispute Resolution; Arbitration Agreement
Most concerns can be resolved quickly by contacting us at legal@dojoit.com. If a dispute is not resolved within sixty (60) days after you send written notice of the dispute to Dojoit Inc., 760 Newhall Drive #1054, San Jose, CA 95110, Attn: Legal, either party may commence arbitration.
You and Dojoit agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules then in effect, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual action in small claims court. The arbitration will be conducted by a single arbitrator, and judgment on the arbitration award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction.
YOU AND DOJOIT EACH AGREE THAT ANY ARBITRATION WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT IN A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. Neither you nor Dojoit will participate in a class action or class-wide arbitration.
Payment of filing, administrative, and arbitrator fees will be governed by the AAA's Consumer Arbitration Rules and its applicable fee schedule, which allocate most of those costs to the business rather than the consumer. If those rules would require you to pay a fee that the arbitrator determines you are economically unable to pay, Dojoit will pay it.
You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice to Dojoit Inc., 760 Newhall Drive #1054, San Jose, CA 95110, Attn: Legal, within thirty (30) days of the date you first became subject to this arbitration agreement or any future amendment to it. Opting out will not affect any other part of these Terms.
17. Governing Law
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Service are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Except for disputes subject to arbitration under Section 16, the state and federal courts located in San Francisco County, California will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of those courts.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the revised Terms and indicate the date they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after revised Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of them. If we make a material change to the arbitration agreement in Section 16, you may opt out of that change as described in Section 16.
19. General
Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms, by operation of law or otherwise, without Dojoit's prior written consent. Dojoit may assign these Terms without restriction, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. If the class action waiver in Section 16 is found unenforceable, then the entirety of the arbitration agreement in Section 16 will be null and void, and the dispute will be resolved in the courts identified in Section 17.
Statute of Limitations. Any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service must be filed within one (1) year after the claim arose, or it will be forever barred.
Notices. We may provide notices to you by email, regular mail, or by posting notice within the Service. Notices to Dojoit should be sent as described in Section 16.
Entire Agreement. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Dojoit regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements between you and Dojoit regarding the Service.
Waiver. Dojoit's failure to enforce any provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of that or any other provision.
